ALAN ROOT ROBERTSON...

Picture
Alan Root Robertson is an imaginarian, a content creator and a conversationalist. He has written 11 books and recorded stacks of songs and CDs. He’s been an artist for Word Records, done post-graduate work in Geology, and earned a living as a Nashville writer/producer.

He’s produced music with Dolly and Brenda Lee, been onstage with Amy Grant, written and produced music for Wrigleys, Kelloggs, and McDonald’s, sung for 13,000 people at a Billy Graham Children’s Crusade, been a college lab instructor, a kid musicianary, a watercolorist, a conference headliner and workshop teacher, a children’s pastor, and a worship leader.

He and his wife, have two daughters, two sons-in-law, and six grandkids. Alan is theologically a Christian mutt, being at home in all the different flavors of churches as long as they preach the Gospel of the manger, the cross, and the empty tomb and subscribe to the Nicene Creed.

Alan is a big-picture type, fascinated by the panorama of the world around him. His love of teaching has made him a lifelong learner. He has a default mode for simplification, encouragement, and a seeming inability to be serious for long stretches of time.
