ALAN ROOT ROBERTSON...
... is a writer of both books and songs. He has done post-graduate work in geology, has been a college instructor, a watercolorist, a conversationalist, a Nashville writer/producer, a conference headliner and workshop teacher, a children’s pastor, and a worship leader. He has done advertising for Wrigleys, Kelloggs, and McDonalds, been on stage with Amy Grant, and sung for 13,000 people at a Billy Graham Children’s Crusade. He and his wife, Emily have 2 daughters, 2 sons in law, and 6 grandkids. Alan is theologically a Christian mutt, being at home in all the different flavors of churches as long as they preach the Gospel of the manger, the cross, and the empty tomb. Alan is a big-picture type, fascinated by the panorama of the world around him. For 30+ years, he traveled the nation as an evangelist and musicianary. He’s been privileged to be present at the moment when thousands of kids have said yes to the call of the Holy Spirit in salvation. His love of teaching has made him a lifelong learner. He has a default mode for simplification, encouragement, and a seeming inability to be serious for long stretches of time. |
